A Christmas Manicure

The other day I completed my Christmas nails for the year, and thought I’d share them.  I adore this new trend–half moon–and figured it’d be fun to try the style with Christmas colours and glitter.

Thanks for reading!  I plan to have a new video up tomorrow, as my friends are going to *hopefully* make a guest appearance for a Christmas tag!  I’ll have a link up soon.  Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all!

DIY Peter Pan Collar

Peter Pan collar tops are HUGE for Fall this year, and there the new thing is a detachable collar.  This allows you to put the collar over any top and give the illusion that you are wearing a super trendy shirt.  These collars are all over the internet right now, so I thought I’d link some for you!

Tip of the Week #1- Coral, Coral, Coral, Coral, oh- and Coral

Hey guys!  Ummhmmmm…another category.

I really wanted something that I could just quickly do every week, when I don’t have much time to post, so I came up with this!  I am also doing a few more little categories that are going to be taking place soon!  Anyways, onto the tip!

Coral is like the most amazing colour on this planet…Especially for summer!  You can get away in ANYTHING coral.  Coral jeans, coral polish, coral lips…seriously…anything!  It is the crazy colour for summer and spring, and everybody is wearing it!  I highly recommend having something in your closet that’s coral, because it is a HUGE trend!

What’s your favourite trend for summer?  Do you like coral?!  Oh, and be sure to let me know any recommendations for upcoming posts!

Check out my video I posted yesterday!! (& stay tuned for one tonight!)

TGIF: DIY Colour Blocked Shorts & Europe (oh yeah, and PINTEREST.)

Hello!  So right now I’m on Pinterest, and I seriously cannot tell you how much I love this website!  Anyways, Happy Good Fridayyyyy!

As, I was saying, on Pinterest, (and a couple other sites) I’ve been seeing tons of great DIYs for the spring and the summer, so I thought I’d share one!  I wasn’t really sure what to talk about this week other then my favourites, so here we go!

Awesome, right!  I love the colour blocking trend this spring and summer, and this is a perfect way to DIY!  Tutorial and pictures here!  All you need is a bit of fabric paint, and a paintbrush, and you’re good to go!  So cool!

So, onto my favourites!  My two favourite songs are the same as last week’s!  Sparks Fly and Ours by Taylor Swift!  Of course, I’ve been on Pinterest a ton.  I’m going to be doing a whole post on some spring and summer snacks that I’ve been seeing all over Pinterest too, so keep an eye out for that!  I think I’m going to have parts to it because everyday I find a ton more!  Another favourite has been of course packing and Europe!  I’m actually almost done, and I’ll be showing you guys my suitcases (LOL one is a carry on, don’t worry…I’m not that much of an over packer!) in Tuesday’s video.  And by the way, I’m not quite sure if every video and every post is going to be up on the right day, there may be some that even don’t go up.  I’m going to try to get them up as much as possible though!  We will probably be in the hotel by like 9 at night, and I will have to edit & upload, so I will probably end up posting them in the mornings.  Keep in mind this is my first time uploading to youtube, so I might take a while!  I’m pretty sure it’ll be ok though!  I’ve edited lots of times before, so I will be ok in that department.  Gosh, I just hope that the internet is going to work!  I have 3G on my phone, which I think is going to be what I’m putting my videos on (don’t worry, it’s a new iPhone 4S and it has good quality!), so at least I won’t have to rely on the internet at the hotel.  Uggghhh I’m sorry if I’m just saying the same thing over and over again in these videos!  I just want to let you guys know that if they aren’t all flawless, that’s why!  I also am not sure if I’ll be able to have Motivational Mondays and TGIFs..this might be my last one for a couple of weeks!  I’ll try.

Yeah, I think that’s about it!  I’ll talk to you guys for my snacks post!  Have an awesome day (:

A Bit Of Glitter: Ombre Mani

For a while now, the ombre nail trend has been really in, but I’ve never able to do it, because whenever I attempt, it always turns out blotchy.  So, I found this new way to try it!  It’s on one of my favourite websites, that I talked about here.  The site is called The Beauty Department.  It basically tells you a super easy way to create this mani, without having to go through all of the trouble of the blotchiness!  So here is the tutorial.  It basically tells you to take a damp (with water) makeup sponge, apply the different colours to the sponge the way you want it on your nail, and then press onto your fingernail.  I will have to try this sometime!  Haha, I’m going to be away for a while, but once I get back, it’s on my things to do list!

Here’s some pictures of examples of what you can do with the ombre trend.

*Picture links are attached to photos*

If it’s still a little difficult to do the whole nail art, you can try the same thing as the first picture.  There’s two different types of ombre nails.  You can either pick a colour that you have five different shades of, and paint each nail one from lightest to darkest (or vice versa), or you can get like three shades of one colour, and paint each part of your nail.  It’s also always cool to add some glitter into it!  Wether it’s a neutral coloured top coat of glitter, or an actual glitter for each shade, it’s something different to try out.

So, ombre mani, yay or nay?  I personally like it!  But, I think it’s a quite a bit of work  compared to a regular coat.  It’s something I’ve never seen before (keep in mind I’m thirteen, and live in a pretty small town!!), and it’s something to try!

Talk to you soon!  I should have another post up tonight!  My first ‘Glam Up’!!  Bye!
