My Summer Listenings 2013

Hey there!  Happy July!

So it is no secret I adore listening to music, especially during my free summer months.  Without giving you my playlist of fifty two songs I suggest you may like, I thought I would just pick a top few to feature!  If you’re in the same boat as me, give these songs a listen!

May 2013: My Favourites

Remember me?  Yeah, hi.  I’m Olivia, and I’m feeling a little apologetic at the moment.  Continuous work is starting to pile up, having my final exam on the twenty first.  I’ve also been a little unmotivated, because I’ve been thinking about starting a YouTube channel.  Well, actually, that would be a bit of an understatement.  I have been watching YouTube for three whole years now, and have been desperate to start one of my own.  So, maybe you could look out for that in the future?  Hmmmmm….

Well, for now, I have my current favourites for you!  May has absolutely FLOWN, and I have managed to snag a few outstanding favourite things the past little while.

As always, let’s start with music, shall we?

How cool is this!?

How cool is this!?

This month I have been getting into lots of Ed Sheeran, and a couple favourite songs of his are Lego House and Wake Me Up.  His voice is heavenly, as I’m sure you’ve heard.  Funny story actually, a girl in one of my classes DOESN’T KNOW WHO HE IS.  How can you be living if you don’t know who Ed Sheeran is?  Really?  Haha, I think I almost choked.  Looking forward to seeing him soon!

A few odds and ends are Come Home by OneRepublic, How to Save a Life by the Fray, and Eat That Up, It’s Good For You by Two Door Cinema Club.  The first two are very deep, slow songs, and the last one is just a fun summer song I found from none other than YouTubers.

This month I read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, and it is safe to say it is my favourite book I’ve read.  It was probably the most tragic, tear-jerking thing EVER.  I don’t want to give away anything because I’d really recommend you reading it, but here’s a synopsis from here:

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years,
Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter
inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a
patient named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about
to be completely rewritten.

pp,375x360.u1

It was a very depressing novel, but completely worth it if you’re into it.  Hazel has a very different take on life, adding hilarious sarcastic gestures on just about anything.  Something I really enjoyed was that the author made everything have two sides.  Hazel has very strong opinions on cliches, and her point of view really shines out.

My favourite video of the month is by Dan and Phil, YouTubers.  They made this a while ago, and I just found it a few days ago.  Have a good laugh.

I’ve started watching The Vampire Diaries this month, and it’s like Gossip Girl all over again.  Love love love.  It’s like a Pretty Little Liars mixed with Criminal Minds or something.  The show is also very similar to The Secret Circle, which you may be familiar with.

So those are the most prominent favourites of the month of May for me, what are yours?  I’ll talk to you guys soon!

Music Monday: 4/8/13

Hello!  I hope you are all having a lovely evening!  I do apologize for not having my DIY up yet…ugh…there really isn’t an excuse for that one.  I’ll have it up as soon as I can!

I haven’t done a music monday for a few weeks, and I’ve got loads of new favourite songs, so I thought I’d share!

Music Monday 3/18/13

Hiya!  So I’ve seen a lot of people doing this blog, and because Olivia is so creative and original, I thought it was a good idea for me to do too!  It is just basically pointing out your favourite music lately.  I really love listening to music, and like to discuss it with other people, which I find difficult because nobody I know really likes my taste.  Anyways, I completely realize this is last minute putting this up 11 minutes before Tuesday, and I am sure you will not be reading this today, but I’m going to try to do it.  I will not be posting every monday because I don’t acquire new favourite songs that quickly, so it will just be whenever I feel like I need to share!

LivLoves: September 2012

Guess what!?  It’s OCTOBER!  That means it’s time for favourites!

Music:

So songs are always coming and going for me, but these are the ones that I’m loving currently!  I am liking lots of Alex Goot this month!  This includes Sensitivity, Bright Lights, and his cover with 6 other YouTubers of One More Night by Maroon 5.  This cover was seriously amazing!  Normally covers are totally hit or miss for me, but this one was totally awesome!  Check it out by clicking here!  Another couple of songs (by Taylor Swift of course) that I’ve been loving are Begin Again and Fearless.

Nail Polish/Fashion:

For nail polish this month this month I have been loving all dark colours!  I hate waiting, so just at the beginning of the month I started wearing them!  I am going to do a whole post on them very soon (I just need to take pictures!), so stay tuned for specific favourites!  For fashion I am loving my Aldo combat boots and long shirts or sweaters with tights!  I did an outfit of the day (linked here) where I showed all of those things!  I would really recommend checking out H&M if you are looking for some new fall stuff!  Oh, and I can’t forget about my Tiffany & Co. pieces!  You can see them in the link above as well.

Food:

I know that I just found out the recipe for making ice cream (linked here), but it is still a favourite!  I LOVE it!  Another thing I have been eating are chocolate chip cookies.  AAAMAAHHGAHHH.  They sell these like freshly baked packages at my grocery store and they are so good!  I have also been loving looking at baking stuff for the next few months on Pinterest.  Oh yeah, and I’ve been pinning a lot lately!  Here’s a link to my Pinterest if you were wondering!  I have so many pins on there it’s crazy!

That’s it!  I’ve got a lot to do in the next little while!  I’ve got two posts I’m writing right now so expect probably at least one of them up today!  Talk to you soon!  Thanks for reading!

Liv’s Life: Birthday, Halloweentown, & Current Favourite Songs

Hey guys!  It’s time for a good ol’ life post!  I feel like I never do these anymore!  I guess they aren’t the most ‘popular’, but I enjoy telling you guys what I’m up to!

So if you’ve been following me for a while, then you’d know that yesterday was my birthday!  Yay!  Like I promised, I will be doing a Birthday Haul, which will be up maybe this weekend (I’m still hauling…oopsie!)!  I also have a couple of NOTDs that I am going to be doing for you guys, along with hopefully some fall OOTDs.

Aren’t you guys excited for fall!?  My favourite time of year!  Hot chocolate, warm coats, and watching Halloweentown over and over again…

Am I the only one that love that series!  I am seriously considering buying them on iTunes right now.  I think the first one is my favourite, and then the third and fourth one are my second favourites, but I’m not a big fan of the second one!  I don’t know why!  Unfortunately I can’t find them on YouTube or anything, so like I said I might have to buy them…

What do you guys think about the new iPhone 5?  I personally am not planning on forking out $700 just for a couple little upgrades…But if I had the money I probably would!  I’m so persuaded by Apple!  Not good!

I’m not sure if I’ve told you guys about my neck…have I?  Well ever since my Quebec trip in June, my neck has been SCREWED.  Well, I went to physio today and it turns out I have CRAZY tight muscles all through and around my neck.  Fabulous.  Now I’m wearing a neck brace and my neck hurts.  LOL I am pathetic!

Do you guys like the Real World?  I just watched the last season (St. Thomas) and I really enjoyed it!  Do you ever get that feeling where it’s like your ‘safe’ show?  Like your staple?  Well that’s how I feel with it!!  I was really sad that it is over, because I loved the people on the show!

OMG Ian won Big Brother!!! YAY!  I was rooting for him on  the very first episode, so I’m so glad he won!  I was a true quack pack fan, so I was so happy how they (almost) all made it to the end!  I personally think that Ian deserved it the most just because he was the ‘superfan’, and he was young, and just a good, well-rounded person.  He also wasn’t a floater, and put a big target on his back being a mole.

So does anybody know when PLL is coming back!?  Like does it come back on October 23rd when the Halloween episode airs?  Or does it come back in like the new year until June?  I’ve said before that I didn’t watch it until last June (but read most of the books), so I’m not too sure how it worked!  I miss it and hope it airs soon!

Taylor Swift’s new album comes out on October 22nd!  Yay!  That’s a month from tomorrow!  YAY!  I am crazy, crazy excited!

And the last thing I wanted to address, my current favourite songs!  Music is like the only thing that totally switches out for me.  I’m constantly buying new music, and getting new favourites.  So my favourites right now are: Drops of Jupiter by Train, Fearless by Taylor Swift, Last Kiss by Taylor Swift, The A Team cover by Boyce Avenue, Fix You cover by Boyce Avenue, Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift, Enchanted by Taylor Swift, and All The Right Moves by OneRepublic.

Sorry this was totally random!  LOL My pinky finger really hurts now!  I will talk to you guys soon!  Thanks for reading if you made it up until now!  Have a good one!  Bye!
