The Hunger Games: Hunger Games Book Review!

Hello Hello!  So, today I’ll be doing a review of The Hunger Games!  I’m going to be doing reviews for all three books in this series, so I thought I’d start now.  I love watching other people’s takes on books and movies, so hey, I’m gonna do one!

I think this book is amazing, if you haven’t noticed!  The Hunger Games is the first book in the series, and I think it’s a perfect fit, and tells just the right information to get set for the next two books.  The Hunger Games is about 24 kids (2 from each district) that fight to death in a massive arena.  Each kid (or tribute) is picked at what they call a reaping.  In the book, Effie Trinket gets to pull names from a ball.  The older you are, the more slips of paper were in the ball, therefore, you have a greater chance of getting chosen.  I don’t want to say too much, but let’s just say Katniss goes to the games.  The reason why there is the games in the first place, is because there has been rebellions against the government, and the government wants to prove to the citizens that they are more powerful than everyone, and they can make people fight against each other.  There’s a bit of romance in the book between Katniss, and the other tribute from her district, Peeta.  In the games, if the tributes don’t ‘stay entertaining’, the government will kick in, and ‘something bad’ will happen!  Like I said, I don’t want to spoil to much!  This book is so good!  It’s very addicting once all of the bad stuff starts to happen haha!  Oh yeah, one more thing, only one out of twenty four comes out alive!  I can’t believe I forgot to say that.  So, who wins?  READ IT!!! ;) I must say, it sounds kinda gross, but it’s really, really good!  I think pretty much any age would love this book!  It’s a tie between this book and a couple of the books from the Pretty Little Liars series for my favourites!  I think one of the reasons why I really like it, is because it’s a futuristic world.  Everything is very cool without sounding too fake.  The whole time I read it, I was wondering how Katniss and Peeta were going to get out alive together, and it wan’t predictable.  Definitely a must read!

So, that’s it for the Hunger Games book.  I’ll review Catching Fire some other day LOL!  Anyways, I’ve gotta go read Mockingjay!  I hope the sun comes out for a post I’m going to do in a while… Talk to you soon!
