TGIF: It’s Back & Has A Theme!

Yay!  TGIF is actually finally back!!  Yipee!  I finally figured out what to do with this series.  I ended TGIF I think right before last summer because I was in summer vacay, so didn’t really need to say ‘TGIF”, and I felt like there was no theme to the series.  I would just write whatever I wanted.  With my little bit of OCD, I didn’t like how Friday’s special posts I could do any day because they weren’t themed.  But now, they are!

I feel like I have sort of been lacking the whole ‘my life’ part of my blog lately, so I am going to have TGIF be pictures from my week!  It’ll be sort of like a Liv’s Life, but just mainly pictures, and not all of this writing that tends to bore people!  Every week I will be taking pictures, and then on Friday, I will upload them in a post!  The pictures will all be from my phone, so the quality won’t be great, but since my phone is the easiest and most convenient way to take pictures for me, the pictures will be more ‘in the moment’!  Yepppp…

Oh, and I feel like having Mondays be Motivational Monday, and Friday be TGIF, it will kind of put me back on the schedule of posting!  Since I am in high school, I do have lots of homework to do, so I am not guaranteeing that these two posts will be up on their day, every week, but they should be for the most part!  And then of course I’ll have my DIYs, fashion, and beauty posts all other days whenever I get a chance to post!  Anyways, here’s this week’s pictures!

My current phone background!

My art project! I’m so proud! Haha, this is like the most artistic thing I’ve ever accomplished!

Yes, I bought Christmas lights for my room! Haha

OMG….review coming soon!

And lastly, a cute little kitty to brighten your day!

I hope you enjoyed seeing a little peek into my week!  Let me know if you like this TGIF series!  Thanks for reading!  Talk to you guys soon.  Have a good one!

My Halloween Costume (2012)

Sorry this is up a little late!!  I’ve been busy working on school stuff and a DIY for a post!

So, for halloween, I was A from Pretty Little Liars!  It was a pretty quick costume to do.  I decided on it last minute because I saw a picture of this costume during the commercials while I was watching the Halloween episode of PLL a couple weeks ago.

So I used this method to do this….

I made a big red A on the back of a big black sweater, wore some black pants, and I was good to go!  Not too exciting, but I just thought I’d mention it!

So I am currently working on a DIY for you guys inspired by one of missglamorazzi’s tutorials….and I am also going to be doing lots more DIYs for Christmas coming up soon!  I have a few in mind that I want to do, but I just have to get the supplies for them first!  I am going to start taking pictures of the DIY probably tomorrow, so be on the look out for that post coming up somewhat soon!  And, this weekend we are going to be putting up my christmas trees, so I’ll show you that, and just lots of cool stuff!  Talk to you guys soon!

Motivational Monday: The Little Things

IT’S BACK!

Motivational Monday is BACK!

Yay!  It’s back!  It’s back!  It’s BACK!

You guys know that I stopped for the summer time because of SOFC and my SBL, but hey, fall’s here and Motivational Monday is back!  I am going to start out this next ‘chapter’ of Motivational Monday with a great idea I found!  I found it actually in two spots, here and here.

The idea is to take note of the little things.  Keep a jar and fill it up with little notes of all of the positive smaller things that happened.  If someone gives you a compliment, note it.  If you laugh really hard one day, note it.  If you just had an amazing day, note it.  Those things you can easily forget, because they just are the little things.  In a few months (or a year) down the road, look back into the jar and see all of the amazing things that happened to you.  It seems like none of them happened until you remember.  I love doing things like this.  That’s why I have a blog!  I love things like PicCal, keeping a diary, and keeping a blog because you can look back on everything that happened to you in the past.

Just by thinking about the positive side of things, you really do realize that you are very fortunate.  Instead of thinking, “oh I have to go to school tomorrow”, and hating it, you can say, “oh I get to see my friends, and learn stuff, and be productive!”!  Haha there really are more positive things than negative things in life and it is very easy to take them for granted.

Thank you for reading!  Have a great week!

(BTW, I might will have Motivational Mondays up either Sundays or Mondays!)

Mid Season 3 Finale of PLL…AHHHH!

Hey guys!  I really wanted to get this post up yesterday, but I had orientation and just some stuff happened…but I am going to have it up for you today!

OMG OMG OMG.  OK, these are just going to be my thoughts on the past mid-season finale.  There are going to be tons of spoilers in this post, so if you haven’t seen this episode, watch it, and come back!

This episode honestly I don’t think was the best they could’ve done, because I personally like the whole A, and Ali part of the story better than the Emily, Nate, and Paige part, but whatever, I can’t complain!

I was legitimately making a list of stuff I wanted to include in this post, so I hope I didn’t leave anything out.  This is probably the hardest type of post for me to write because I’m very scattered and all over the place with all of the subjects, sorry!

OK, so Nate is A, and dead, Caleb might be dead, Mona is a freak (as always), Paige isn’t A, and TOBY!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Time to turn of the music.  This is serious time.

Once again, in no particular order..

So in the beginning, Hanna is balling her eyes out because somebody is being put in an ambulance.  How heart wrenching!  I personally knew it was Caleb because Caleb is very protective over the girls (so prone to getting hurt), and who else would make only Hanna this upset?  And then, it’s rewinded two days earlier.  Oh yeah, Toby comes back, and there’s a bittersweet goodbye from Spencer.  The girls are lured to Ali’s grave, but Emily isn’t aloud to know.  Emily is mad at the other girls for being rude to Paige, and thinking she was A, so Emily goes to a cabin with Nate, otherwise known as Mr. Sketchy.  I personally knew something was going on with Nate once he very first came in to the series.  He was acting very agressive to me, and I don’t know how Emily could of liked that.  And where’s the proof he was Maya’s cousin!!!???  Of course, he turned out to be Linden..whoever that is.  Paige gets a message from A also saying to go to the cemetery, where she gets taken to Emily and Nate’s cabin, where she is taped up and but in the closet.  When Emily is sleeping, she gets a call from who sounds like A, saying that she has to get out, and that she has one minute.  But nope, she decides to look around the house.  HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET!?   Emily then finds out Nate is Linden, and Nate wants to kill Paige in front of her.  The other girls know something is up when nobody shows up to Ali’s grave, and they go to the cabin.  Nate sees them and Emily runs.  Nate goes after her. Emily (even more stupidly) runs up to a lighthouse (with only one entrance/exit!!!).  At this point I was livid.  Is Emily stupid!?  Why did she run up to the lighthouse, and then start talking at her cell phone while Nate is looking for her!?  Anyways, Nate comes up and finds Emily, and they have a battle until…DUN DUN NAH NAH…Nate gets stabbed!!!  Caleb comes up to find them, and he puts his gun down, to hug Emily, when it looks to be Nate shot at Caleb.  I believe this is when the beginning catches up, and Hanna is freaking out in front of the ambulance.  I think that Caleb is going to live because I think his character is really well liked in the series, and it’s not really good for him to be gone…I don’t know.  But then, at the end, they have to pull the whole A card again.  They show Mona walking up to Radley, and she’s with this person in a black hoodie.  At this point I thought that the episode was done, and they were just going to show Mona talking to the other mysterious A, but nope, the other A turns around and OMG.  IT’S TOBY!?!?!  I was mortified.  LOL.  Toby is one of my favourite characters just because I like how he acts and I really like how he’s connected to Jenna, and lots of stuff happened to him at the beginning of the series.  But come on, it’s Toby!?

I was watching Amarixe’s reaction video and Tiffany’s reaction video, and they said the same thing I did!  We all think that Toby actually isn’t a bad guy, and that he just is looking out for the girls by becoming part of the A team!  Yay!  If you enjoy reading these posts, then watch those two videos!  They’re awesome!

So, my thoughts:

I personally got super bored with the whole Nate thing, so I’m glad he’s gone.  I’m confused and don’t believe for one bit that Garett killed Maya or Ali, so I am pretty bored with Garett too.  When Toby came back, they showed his little reaction when he had to leave Spencer as being “I love you and miss you but something’s up”, so I knew that something was going to happen with him, so that’s why I think he’s not A.  And Tiffany’s right!  I can tell by the way he ran around the corner at the end that he isn’t A, he just looked like he wanted to get out of there!  He also is very curious just like Caleb was about this whole A thing, so maybe he wanted to find some answers, so he fake-ly joined the A team.  I was a little bummed about Nate dying as being like the big reveal because I don’t think he was in the season long enough for that to be special, but they got me at the end!!  I honestly am not surprised that Caleb got shot because he is constantly trying to protect the girls, and he just looks like he would do anything for Hanna.  And my last little thing is, why did Mona help Emily!?  I originally thought that Mona was turning on the A team because she also said “change of plans” to one of the ‘A’s.  But nope, she’s still a freak.

Haha, anyways, that’s my little rant of the moment!  I hope you guys enjoyed!  I’ll be back October 23rd for the Halloween special!  And, I should have another post or two up by tomorrow, I have a few planned!  Talk to you soon!  Bye!

Tips & Tricks For Decorating A Small Room

Hey guys!  So most of you know, I’ve been re-doing my room the past week.  I have a very small room, and I just wanted to share some tips with you that helped me a lot for making my room appear larger than it actually is.

These are in no particular order, just tips that you may find helpful!

#1-The less you have, the more space.  The most obvious tip!  The less you have packed into your room, the more space you’ll have.  Try to keep just essentials.  I have a bookshelf, bed, desk, and dresser in my room.  That’s it.  If you really don’t need it, get rid of it!  I found lots of my problems were that I had too many storage things because I had so much unnecessary things to keep in them.  Start out with getting rid of the little things, and then the big things.  I used to have three bookshelves in my room, and now I only have one because I cut down on the things I needed in here.

#2- Lighting and colours matter!  The lighter the colour that you paint your room, the bigger it will look.  And, the brighter your room is, the bigger it will look because you can see every little space in there.  If you paint your room black and have awful lighting, it’s pretty obvious that your room will appear very small.  I have a big window, overhead light, side lamp, and then a bigger lamp that I keep on my desk that pretty much lights up my whole room.

#3- Keep things on your walls.  If you don’t have enough space for a storage cart on the ground, install shelves.  It will balance your room out too, having things on your walls and on the ground.  Going with tip one, be careful that you don’t overflow your room with things on your walls.  It’s nice to see some of your paint peeking through.

#4- Make everything functional.  You can buy underbed storage for unused space under your bed.  I actually bought one but it doesn’t fit under my bed!  I would put my opposite season clothes in there, because my closet isn’t big enough to carry all of that stuff.  You can also buy benches that you can keep at the foot of your bed that can open up and you can store stuff in there.  It would double as a couple of seats, and storage.  I got a side table that has little sections (shelves) in it that I could put things in, so it wouldn’t just be a one tier thing.  Yet another thing that makes things functional is buying a couple of hooks that fit onto your door.  I use these for my housecoats, coats, and purses, and they use up like no space!  And last thing for this tip, buying stickey hooks!  I got a whole bunch of these, and I am going to put them all over my bookshelf to hang necklaces, wristlets, anything like that.

#5-Use mirrors!  These of course reflect light and mimic the picture in front of it, making it look like the wall goes on and on.  I’d recommend getting bigger mirrors because you can obviously use them, but they copy a large part of the room, and make it appear a lot bigger.

#6-Make storage spaces look nice.  Since you will probably need lots of storage in a small room, make it double as decoration.  I’ve seen these really pretty boxes from Michael’s, which have lots of pretty colours and pictures of Paris and stuff on them, but they are still a box so you can still store things in them, without having to reck the space.  Instead of keeping all of your nail polish in bins, get a nail polish rack, instead of keeping your jewelry in a jewelry box, display it with some stickey hooks.

#7- Display your favourites, store the things that don’t matter.  This will make you love every part of your room, but still have the other important things stored away for use.

#8-Keep it simple!  Use simple, easy, useful furniture, but play up your bedding and pillows.  Play up the things on your walls.  This way your room isn’t boring, but it still has functional properties.

#9- Don’t worry about themes!  Have a few favourite things in mind, and that’s it.  My room is more ‘storage-y’ than it is ‘themed’.  Personally, I love the look of organized so much that I don’t even care!  I’m not saying my room is ugly…haha.  If you stick to a theme, you are going to have a very hard time trying to find useful things, storage wise.   I’d recommend getting all of your storage pieces first, and then going ahead and getting your decor pieces.  That way all of your priorities are straight, and maybe you’ll completely change your mind on your theme.  Who wants a room that’s not functional?  I wanted my theme to be all turquoise when I painted my room, and then once everything started to fall into place, my room has colourful bedding, and I have multiple colours that work, and I’m focusing more on storage than colour.

That’s it for my tips!  I hope you enjoyed and somewhat found this helpful!  I think I am going to do another one of these for on a budget decor, because my room is pretty small and I’m only thirteen so I don’t have an infinite budget.  I will be doing a room tour soon too!   It will probably be around mid-september at the rate that I’m going…I’m not too sure.  I think I have like three things that I have to get.  It’s a pretty rainy day where I am now, so I’ll probably have a couple more posts up today, we’ll see!  Thanks for reading!  Bye!
