Motivational Monday: New Favourite Quotes (Nov. 2012)

Hey guys!  So I’ve recently found some amazing quotes on tumblr, and wanted to share them for Motivational Monday!

“The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts and the stupid people are full of confidence”

“Be the person you want to meet”

“Promote what you love instead of smashing what you hate”

“I like people that smile while it’s raining”

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle”

“When something bad happens, you have three choices; you can let it define you, you can let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you”

“You just have to say hi.  They may ignore you, they may marry you.  And that possibility is worth one word”

“Everything in life is temporary.  So if things are going good, enjoy it because it won’t last forever.  And if things are going bad, don’t worry.  It can’t last forever either”

“Life is a great big canvas.  Throw all the paint on it you can.”

“Live in such a way that is someone spoke badly of you no one would believe it.”

“Always wear you invisible crown.”

That’s it for today!  Have a good week!

Motivational Monday: The Little Things

IT’S BACK!

Motivational Monday is BACK!

Yay!  It’s back!  It’s back!  It’s BACK!

You guys know that I stopped for the summer time because of SOFC and my SBL, but hey, fall’s here and Motivational Monday is back!  I am going to start out this next ‘chapter’ of Motivational Monday with a great idea I found!  I found it actually in two spots, here and here.

The idea is to take note of the little things.  Keep a jar and fill it up with little notes of all of the positive smaller things that happened.  If someone gives you a compliment, note it.  If you laugh really hard one day, note it.  If you just had an amazing day, note it.  Those things you can easily forget, because they just are the little things.  In a few months (or a year) down the road, look back into the jar and see all of the amazing things that happened to you.  It seems like none of them happened until you remember.  I love doing things like this.  That’s why I have a blog!  I love things like PicCal, keeping a diary, and keeping a blog because you can look back on everything that happened to you in the past.

Just by thinking about the positive side of things, you really do realize that you are very fortunate.  Instead of thinking, “oh I have to go to school tomorrow”, and hating it, you can say, “oh I get to see my friends, and learn stuff, and be productive!”!  Haha there really are more positive things than negative things in life and it is very easy to take them for granted.

Thank you for reading!  Have a great week!

(BTW, I might will have Motivational Mondays up either Sundays or Mondays!)

Motivational Monday: Frustrated?

Happy Monday!

It’s Monday again, and like I said in my last Motivational Monday, everybody hates Mondays.  I often find myself getting very annoyed and frustrated because I know that I still have another four days of work.  I know that you have to get through these days to get the weekend, but there must be a way to have it a little easier!  Here’s some tips on how to get rid of your frustration.

1. SLOW DOWN.  Take one thing at a time!  So what if you have some extra work, it’s not like your life is going to end!

2. If you mess up, it’s not going to change your life.  Nobody will remember it tomorrow.  Just fix it with a fresh mind.

3. Get comfy!  I find myself always doing a better job and being less stressed when I am comfortable and don’t always have a time limit.

4. Find something to take your mind off of it.  Don’t procrastinate (if this applies to the situation!), but just give yourself some time to relax and recuperate.  Move on!

5. Prepare yourself.  If you know you are going to have an awful day before it happens, change that!  Even the smallest things can make your day better.

6. Stay flexible and go with the flow.  Don’t be stuck on one thing.

I hope you have a wonderful week!  Stay strong!  The beautiful weather is on it’s way, and that can brighten anyone’s mood.  Talk to you soon!

Motivational Monday: Everyone Hates Mondays…

Happy Monday!  (Well actually Sunday!)

Let’s face it.  Everyone hates mondays.  And I mean everyone.  You’re back from the weekend, ready for a whole five day week.  Well, I’m here to tell you how to hate mondays a little less!  Haha.

Tip 1. Have a tradition on every monday to help treat yourself a bit.  Find your favourite thing to do, and do it!  Wether it’s shopping around the mall for 20 minutes, or baking some cookies, this is perfect!  Just make sure it’s easy enough that you know you can do it every monday.

Tip 2. Take breaks.  Go for a walk, paint your nails, read a book.  Any little break can have you come back feeling refreshed.

Tip 3. Listen to music.  If you are the type of person that likes music, then listen to it while you work!  It can brighten up your day a bit.

Tip 4.  Totally treat yourself!  Wear the clothes that make you feel most confident, buy a little treat from a coffee shop, let yourself have that scarf you’ve been wanting forever.

Tip 5.  After a long day, relax!  Once you have some free time at the end of the day, give yourself a pedicure, read a book, whatever makes you feel most relaxed.

OK, so that’s it for this motivational monday!  I’m not quite too sure if I’ll have the next two weeks’ Motivational Mondays up because I’ll be away.  I hope you have a great week!  Talk to you soon!

Motivational Monday: “Never, Never, Never Give Up.”-Winston Churchill

Hey guys! Happy Monday! So, this weeks theme is (as you see in the title) to never give up. I’m actually writing this on the bus on my way home from a doctors appointment, and I’m pretty exhausted, so I only have some quotes to share. I couldn’t really come up with much for this subject like activity wise, so that’s all I have! Sorry!! But I will have some posts up tomorrow to make up for today and yesterday.

“Fall seven times, stand up eight.”-unknown

“I will not say I failed 1000 times, I will say that I discovered there are 1000 ways that can cause failure.”-Thomas Edison

“The past is experience.”-unknown

“Be strong now, because things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it can’t rain forever.”-unknown

Have a great week! Talk to you tomorrow!

Motivational Monday: More Opportunities Will Come Your Way.

Happy (Sunday) Monday!  So I was just looking up some quotes to add into this motivational monday, when I came a cross a quote that honestly just spoke to me, and knew I had to add it into today’s post.  The post I was working on will be next week’s, but right now I thought I would just focus on this one quote.

The quote is actually by Dr. Suess, and it’s “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”.  I feel like that’s like my life quote!  Since about December, I’ve been going through a little rough patch with school, and stress, and headaches, and I have just been thinking about the future, and thinking about things that I’m excited for, and only thinking about those things.  I haven’t realized that I should be thankful for what I have, and for all of the opportunities that I have had.  I’m totally not the kind of person to be just happy to be here, and to smile over the little things, but I think I need to start thinking about them just a little bit.  I’m always so upset after something fun happens because it’s what I’ve been excited for for like months and months.  I need to realize that my life isn’t boring, and that I will always have something to be excited for.  I think that it’s like my biggest issue with myself, and I’d kind of like to change it.  I can still be excited for things, just know that when they’re over, at the end of the day, something awesome will happen, and my life isn’t all about going somewhere, and doing things that I don’t typically do.  Anyways, I better go, because the day is getting a little late, but, yeah, just be excited for the future, but not too excited.

Talk to you soon!
